 | Gompf-John-Elizabeth-Baptism-Altered.jpg MODIFIED Baptism record from the Old Salem Lutheran Church in Catonsville, Baltimore County, Maryland. As the original is quite hard to read, I attempted (by hand, with photo editing software) to remove ink splotches and to fill in gaps in the pen strokes. Note that Catherine's last name goes from looking like "Maisel" to "Maier". The letter at the start of her place of origin might be an L, and certainly Lauerbach is a very plausable place, but I am not convinced that is the letter that was written. |
